Nachtegalenpark

Antwerp

On sunny weekends Antwerpers gather at Nachtegalenpark, enjoying nature at its best.

In days gone by the Vogelenzang, Middelheim and Den Brandt parks were the properties of a group of elite aristocratic families. Thankfully times changed and the town council purchased the three estates in 1910. They were then opened to the general public as Nachtegalenpark! In Middelheim Park marvel at the open-air Sculpture Museum, while Vogelenzang will allow children to get rid of energy with its large meadows, a play area and a small animal park. For the more refined amongst us, the themed and historic gardens of Dodoens and Rubens gardens can be found at Hortiflora.
